Worship and Adult Ministries
The worship and glorification of God is essential to the life of our church. We worship God in accordance with His Word through the expository preaching of Holy Scripture, the singing of hymns, the giving of tithes and offerings, and corporate prayer. Worship includes both adults and children, although nursery is provided for children under 3 years of age. Sunday School is taught for children and adults from 9:30 - 10:30 every Sunday. Adult Sunday School topics include or have included studies of various books of the Bible such as Philippians, studies of The Shorter Catechism, studies based on Christian materials such as "Knowing God" by J I Packer, and topical studies relevant to the needs of our church and our day, such as the Ten Commandments and the Apostles Creed. From time to time the joint adult Sunday School classes and high school sunday school classes are addressed by visiting speakers. Nursery is provided. Mid-week regional prayer meetings are an important part of the life of the church. These meetings are conducted in the homes of members of the church. Prayer meetings are at 7:30 PM on Wednesday evenings. For details as to location please contact the church office at (973) 579-3067. We have an excellent selection of edifying sermons and lessons available on audio tape and CD at a nominal cost. These include recordings of sermons and select Sunday School classes from our own and other churches. We believe that to provide good Christian literature is essential for spiritual growth. Our discount bookstore offers Bibles and a large variety of reading materials for both the young and old.
